![]() The case is plastic but it seems solid and durable. I know Japan is a no crime zone but the rest of the world is not and I’d hate have my pad controller get lifted. I’m gonna give this to the Akai on the basis that the Korg does not have a security slot. If you discount the Korgs flashing lights (does this add value?) then it’s a toss up between the X-Y pad or the extra faders and knobs you get on the Akai. This is a tough call between the Akai and the Korg. ![]() Akai MPD 24įlashing pads, make patterns when you hit them Winner: Akai MPD24 Screw thread in base to attach to drum rack (or stick over a turntable). Weight 0.96 kg ROUND ONE: FEATURES M-Audio Trigger Finger Whilst all these contenders have 16 drum pads the Korg ditches the knobs and faders and gives you the famous Korg X-Y control! Plus It’s yours for the same price as the Akai. In the flashing lightship hovering above the ring we have the featherweight Korg padKontrol. This thing is built like a tank, has a solid metal base, the knobs and faders are well spaced and feel really pro. In the red corner we have the heavyweight Akai MPD 24. It offers nearly the same features as the Akai MPD 24 but is around 26 EUR (40 USD) cheaper. This is the cheapest of the three, and to be frank, it looks and feels it. In the blue corner we have the rather lightweight M-Audio Trigger Finger. Thanks to the help of online store I got my hands on all three and set each up in Traktor, Serato and Live to see which would be reigning champ in the sub 200 EUR midi pad controller class. They are all around a similar budget and each has their own appeal but on paper its a tough call. midi controller. If you’re looking for a MIDI pad controller on a modest budget and can’t be troubled to build your own then no doubt you will have found these three M-Audio Trigger Finger, Korg padKontrol and the Akai MPD24. I will definitely recommend it to everyone those who are looking for a great. I have being using this midi controller for more than a year now and my friend is owning it for more than 2 years now and both of your midi controller is working great. Other midi controllers like Novation in the same price range has a problem that after some time of using it, the keys stop working but with this akai midi controller, you will not face that problem for atleast 2 years. You get other knobs and buttons on the controller tike tempo, banks, and etc and those are really very helpful in live looping. They feel very good and they are velocity sensitive pads. The best part of this mdidi controller is that its built quality is really amazing. There are some other midi controllers like Novation, M-Audio in the same price range but this is the best among them (atleast for me). akai MPC include is old and lite version, it's limited not like other DAWs.i recommend us some another DAWs for your future work.this MPC Is not for professional it's for begginer mind it.within a month I pad is stop working.Īkai MPK Mini MK2 is one of the best midi controller that you can get in this price range. they should give know source of software. Akai should focus on there software interface too. ![]() 3***(3 stand for, at least they provide some stuffs for begginer ,who doesn't have DAWs or plugin.) In term of hardware it is good (I m using it for 1 week).5***** I had seen many YouTube videos but my problem still remains same no solution. Now ,about AKAI MPC,I install it but problem arise when I want to add plugin on it.i didn't able to find out the hybrid plugin, even I know the file location of hybrid plugin inside vstplugin. I manage to install hybrid but Wooble can't be install due to some security issue with windows and wooble installer is not smooth for my laptop (configuration of my laptop corei7, windows 8.164bit,1tb internal ,8 gb ram ),it will create lots of problem for laptop lower these configuration that's for sure. Build quality of akai mpk mini is very good.key is very smooth to press ,it doesn't make much sound while pressing it.hardware is very good to use both key and pad.better than nektra because I have nektra midi keyboard.īut but software include is very bad.i download it from akai official website after registration was done, but when I install hybrid ,source was from unknown both hybrid and wooble. ![]()
